REAL protection dogs have on-command threat display

We have all watched our fill of YouTube protection dogs clinging to bite sleeves while in prey drive. While these types of videos may help to sell dogs, they offer little real-world protection dog training. One of the most powerful tools any guardian dog has is a threat display, NOT a bite! The overwhelming number of potential bad situations can be resolved with a serious threat display from a serious dog. And yet, we see next to nothing from these protection dog “experts” when it comes to developing an on-command threat display. Most dogs we see on YouTube are in a hunting rather than a fighting state of mind.
